Denmark has a great number exciting as well as interesting places for a vacationing traveler to visit. Copenhagen alone has number in interesting places to visit. Copenhagen is a city which prides itself with its rich heritage and interesting history. It has been called the land of ambitious kings and creative artists.

An excellent network of public transportation which include buses and trains help make going around for tourists easier and its friendly people would be willing to guide a lost tourist to get him back to enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds that the city has to offer.
Some of the attractions that you will likely find in this city are the beautiful ancient castles and palaces that spread all over the area. One of them is the Amalienborg which was built by Frederik V to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the House of Oldenburg, Amalienborg is actually a vast complex which consists of four palaces that is built around a square.
In the square, an equestrian statue of Frederik V stands imposingly which, together with the surrounding palace buildings, forms a breathtaking architectural ensemble that is just too good to miss.
There is also the Asistens Kirkegard which is also known as Copenhagen's biggest cemetery. This is where notable people in Denmark such as Hans Christian Andersen are buried. If you are still amazed at the spectacular architecture found in the city, you might also want to visit the Borsen or the Stock Exchange. It is one of Copenhagen's oldest and most spectacular architectural buildings. The Stock Exchange was built by Christian IV during the 1600's in an effort to make the city into a major financial center able to compete with Amsterdam.
What is remarkable about this building is that it was built on top of water and stands on filled-in foundations. With canals surrounding it on three sides, this building was able to survive various fires that may have destroyed it through the years. The building's imposing spire is what makes The Stock Exchange stand out in the whole of Copenhagen. This spectacular spire is formed by four dragons with tails intertwined and topped by three golden crowns which stand for the three Scandinavian countries.
Then there is the Stroget which is an open market where different modes of transportation are banned to allow thousands of shoppers to freely walk around the streets. The Stroget is an open air market filled with bars, burger joints as well as a variety of high end and bargain stores that haws everything available for everyone.
Walking down Stroget is always an experience in itself and should not be missed whenever one visits Copenhagen. And most of all, the excited visitor should not miss what is known as the most famous of Copenhagen's tourist attractions, the Den Lille Havfrue or the Little Mermaid.
The Little Mermaid can be found sitting on a rock that overlooks the harbor of Copenhagen. It was inspired by the fairytale created by Denmark's most famous son, Hans Christian Andersen. There are many more sights that await every visitor here in Denmark and it is not all located in the capital alone. A more exciting adventure is always at hand when you visit the beautiful country that is Denmark.

Traveling to Russia
travel guide for you
Traveling to Russia By J. Foley
One of the largest nations in the world that occupies part of Eastern Europe and Asia is Russia. Though not every part of it is inhabited, most of the cities where people live are rich in culture and history.
The capital of this vast country is Moscow. There are more than 9 million inhabitants and over 5,000 streets. Those who have no idea can really get lost and will surely have a hard time getting back to the hotel.
In the city, the Kremlin serves as the seat of the Russian government. People will surely be in awe seeing the Tsar Bell and Cannon.
Along the Kremlin’s wall lies one of Russia’s oldest museums. It features weapons dating from the 15th century to the present. There are also large jewels stored here such as the diamonds of Orlov that is 189.63 carats and the Shah that is 88.7 carats.
Even before getting into the Kremlin, the ground that the tourist walks on is another important landmark known as the Red Square. The May Day parade is held here showing Russia’s military might before the collapse of the Cold War.
Russians get to various places by trains more often than cars. There are over 150 stations scattered all over the city and the person can get to another side of the town or decide to travel to another city that is a few miles north, south, west or east.
Those who choose to go west will likely end up in St. Petersburg. The old name of this place as many Russians remember is Leningrad.
During the patriotic war, the residents of this city held out for more than 800 days against the Nazis. It took time before the Red army was able to fight back and drive the invaders away.
St. Petersburg is Russia’s 2nd largest city and is home to the world famous Hermitage. This building is not a hotel but rather a museum housing several departments from prehistoric culture to western European art such as works of Da Vinci, Rafael, Renoir and Monet among others. There are also some sculptors done by Michelangelo and Rodin.
Nearer St. Petersburg but closer to the sea is the city Murmansk. This place is a major fishing port as well the headquarters of Russian’s northern Atlantic fleet. There is not that much to see here unless the person came in the month of March to witness the reindeer races and the ski marathon.
Instead of going West from Moscow, those who go east will bet to the town of Vladimir Oblast. There are a lot of museums and other architectural buildings here such as the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God, the St. Euphymius Cathedral of our Savior, the Cathedral of the Deposition of the Veil, the Protection Cathedral and other monasteries dating to the 17th and 18th century.
Not far is the town of Suzdal that has an open air museum featuring various artworks.
The Volga River is one of the longest in the world stretching 3,700 kilometers. Along its banks is the city of Volgograd that at a point in time was called Stalingrad. It was here the Russians pushed back the Nazis until the gates of Berlin.
The city was rebuilt after the war and there many museums here dedicated to those who fought and died.

Tips For A Formal Night On A Cruise Ship Travel

Tips For A Formal Night On A Cruise Ship Travel By J. Foley
A formal night on your dream vacation on the cruise ship can be a nightmare if you do not plan it well. The selection of the wardrobe for the male and female is one of the most tedious procedures before a formal night on a cruise ship travel.
Men’s Troubles and Pleasures
For some, it is the boredom of having to pack your best suit, then unpack it again, then un-wrinkle it and then finally take the pain to wear it, that makes them hate it. They find the entire process too tedious and feel that it is simply not worth it. There are the other types as well for whom, seeing their ladylove in her best evening gown makes it all worth it. Walking arm in arm with her through the ballroom and the dining room seems a dream. Remember the scene from the movie Titanic?
Women’s Troubles And Pleasures
Women have an even harder time trying to figure out what to wear on that formal night during a cruise ship travel. Should it be a long or a short gown? The color should be dark or a bright color is fine? Should one just cancel the gown and stick to a slack? All these choices make life difficult for the women on cruise ship travel.
The Dress Code for men
As far as men are concerned, formal wear usually means a dark colored suit or a tuxedo. That is what you will find most men wearing on a formal night in a cruise ship travel. Tuxedos are available on rent on most cruise ships now. However, you would want to rent it way in advance. You certainly do not want to try one day in advance and end up facing a rejection. Getting your proper fit is another issue when renting out a tuxedo on a cruise ship travel.
The Perfect Dress for Women
Women can find it a real pleasure or a real pain depending on their preferences. You can pack a silky black slack that hardly takes any room in the luggage and try to pair it with a couple of good tops. Gowns are more preferred and can be a showstopper if you have the right one. You will be envied through out the hall by women and ogled by men. However, it all depends on how well you get out there.
So, get dressed and enjoy the night. Make it a romantic getaway and one that you will cherish and remember for years to come or until your next vacation anyway.

Similar to Disneyland and Disney World, you can expect to enjoy a fun filled day at Xcaret, thanks to amazing rides and attractions.
An deep underground river is a popular feature of the Xcaret Theme Park. You and your family can see plenty of beautiful tropical plants as you enjoy the river. Xcaret is also host to many wild and exotic animals. There is a butterfly pavilion, a coral reef aquarium, and you are given the chance to swim dolphins. Many children, as well as adults, will be thrilled with this theme park. In addition to the Xcaret Theme Park, Cancun offers many family friendly resorts. To find a luxury resort that offers family oriented activities you may want to check on the internet or speak with your local travel agent.
Cozumel also offers many great attractions and activities that are designed for individuals of all ages, including children. Cozumel is ideal for family vacation, especially because it has one of the lowest crime rates in Mexico, as well as the world. Cozumel is home to some of the most beautiful coral reefs. This often creates an incredible adventure and learning experience for children. If your children will enjoy scuba diving or snorkeling, then you will want to plan a trip to Cozumel.
With so many options for families, choosing a Mexican all-inclusive vacation is a great idea. The vacation package will also include items such as snacks, drinks, meals, as well as hotel accommodations and airfare. Teaching children about various cultures and customs and letting them view the Mayan ruins first hand is an amazing lesson in geography and history. While education is nice, the above mentioned locations do not completely just focus on it. There are so many fun filled activities such as snorkeling, diving, swimming, hiking, fishing, sailing, and parasailing. These activities are great for families with active children.
In addition to the above mentioned popular Mexican destinations are that are designed for the whole family, you may want to consider additional sights and attractions. Mexico has so much to offer you and your family. In fact, you and your family may wish that you could stay in longer.

Romance In Newport Beach
travel guide for you
Romance In Newport Beach By J. Foley
It's no secret that finding a honeymoon location or
a place to take your sweetheart is important. With
many places to choose from, you may be surprised to
hear that Newport Beach is actually one of the most
romantic - yet also one of the most overlooked areas
in the entire United States.
For honeymooners or those in love looking to re-kindle
the flame, Newport Beach has a lot to offer when it
comes to romance. The entire environment and setting
around the Beach is romantic, with romance budding at
each and every turn.
On a hot day, walking hand in hand down Marine Avenue
on Balboa Island is enriching. You and your mate can
check out the sites and talk about things. Then, you
can head over to Balboa Fun Zone and play games together,
enjoying the best life has to offer. To show her that
you care, you can even win her a stuffed animal - one
thing that all females seem to love!
On the harbor of Newport Beach, a romantic gondola ride
remains one of the most romantic things to do. A gondola
ride is great to relax, sitting back with one and another
and enjoying the best of the beach. Sometimes, nothing
beats just enjoying the presence of one another and
taking in some of the best sites that vision has to offer.
Once night begins to set in, nothing is more romantic
than a trip to the Bayside Restaurant or the Aubergine,
two of the most romantic restaurants in Orange County.
Both you and your partner will enjoy the setting here, as
well as the food.
After you have enjoyed a romantic dinner, you can watch
the sun rise on the beach. Both sunrise and sunset is
breathtaking at Newport Beach, something each and every
couple should experience at least once in a lifetime.
Before you call it a trip, you should also make sure to
get pampered at a local spa. The spa's around Newport
Beach are exhiarating, something your whole body will
find superb. As a couple or a separate trip, a relaxing
day at the spa is very hard to rival.
When it comes to a honeymoon or a trip as a couple,
Newport Beach is one location you'll remember the rest of
your lives. There is so much to do here as a couple,
you'll probably want to come back again and again. As
time goes by and you get older, you'll find that Newport
Beach is the perfect place to come back to - no matter
where the road of life takes you.

The Maldives
travel guide for you
The Maldives By J. Foley
Introduction To The Maldives
Heavenly turquoise blue waters, lush tropical islands and Robinson Crusoe type isolation – these are just some of the images that come to mind when we think about travelling to the Maldives. In this book you’ll discover a new world altogether – a beautiful world beyond the imagination of most people. A world where you can be one of a small handful of people that have an island all to themselves. This world is called The Maldives. And this book will tell you everything you need to know about these tiny palm-fringed islands.
Location Of The Maldives
The Maldives are a group of tiny islands that are set in the Indian Ocean – the closest countries to the Maldives are India and Sri Lanka. There are approximately 1200 separate islands in the Maldives and only about one sixth of these are populated. The capital of the Maldives is Male – the most densely inhabited island. But while Male, it seems, is simply bursting from the seams, there certainly are no space problems on the other islands. Male holds about a third of the Maldivian population while the remaining are scattered around various other islands.
A Brief History Of The Maldives
While there are no certain facts it is estimated that the Maldives have been populated as early as 1500 BC, most likely explorers from India and Sri Lanaka (Ceylon). During 1152 there was a conversion to islam although there was a brief period from 1558 to 1573 when the Maldives was taken over and ruled by the Portugese. The islands were also under the rule of the British in 1887. In 1965 the Maldives regained its independent status.
Flora & Fauna That Inhabit The Islands & Surrounding Waters
Contrary to the first impressions of many, the Maldives islands are not especially hospitable to plants, mainly because the soil does not have the nutrients to support a large and varied diversity of plant life. The main type of vegetation include coconut trees, vines, banyan trees as well as mangroves. Also found are Breadfruit trees and Bamboos. Flowering plants include Bougainvillaea and Frangipani.
The islands have an incredible number of colourful, tropical fish and when you visit you’re bound to see many of them. A few of these include Butterfly fish, Dolphins, Anglefish, Parrotfish and Flutemouth. The colours and shapes of some of these fish are as varied and intriguing as their names would suggest. Divers are sure to have an experience of a lifetime in the Maldives.
While there are a healthy variety of birds inhabiting the islands, there are fewer varieties of land based animals. Common to the islands are flying foxes, geckos and garden lizards. There are also a couple of species of snake (not dangerous).
There are over 100 species of birds – expect to see crows, parakeets, and waterhens as well as koel birds. Also present are herons, seagulls and noddys.
The Type Of Travellers The Maldives Appeals To
The Maldives is a wonderful destination for a wide variety of travellers – from those seeking complete bliss and Robinson Crusoe type peace & quiet (in an absolutely idyllic surrounding), to beach lovers and diving enthusiasts to honeymooners and romantic couples looking for some enchanting memories in one of the most beautiful places in the world. With a wide variety of resorts to choose from it’s important to research the facilities in a wide range of resorts to make sure that you get whatever it is you’re looking for. For example, some resorts may suit more active travellers while others would be more suited to those looking for a quiet and peaceful stay.
How To Get To The Maldives
Almost all visitors get to the Maldives via plane – typically, they arrive in Male, the capital from their port of departure and from there will be transferred to their resort. Transfers are usually via seaplane or speedboat. Given the stunning scenery it’s always advisable to arrive by seaplane where possible – the views of the islands from the air are nothing short of spectacular. When researching resorts and prices it’s worth remembering that some packages will be quoted with transfers built into the price while others will not. Transfers can be quite pricey.
Some resorts are located quite close to the airport in Male – transfer times can be under 20 minutes while other resorts further away may take an hour or even two to reach depending on the type of transfer. Keep in mind that after travelling a long distance on a flight, the last thing that you’ll want to do is spend a further couple of hours on a speedboat.
If your transfer is not via seaplane it is possible to ride in a seaplane during your stay – and get some stunning photos of the islands and atolls from high above.
